Skydance Paramount Plans to Eliminate Approximately 2,000 US Jobs – Update

Skydance Paramount is scheduled to initiate large-scale job cuts during the week starting 27 October, eliminating about 2,000 US jobs within a cost-cutting plan worth $2bn overseen by new chief executive David Ellison.

The workforce reduction follow the union between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, completed this past August with a value of $8.4bn.

More international job cuts are anticipated, as the firm aiming to disclose complete information via its Q3 financial results on 10 November.

Earlier reports stated the firm planned to eliminate from 2,000 and 3,000 positions by early November.

As of December 2024, Paramount had nearly 18,600 workers on full-time and part-time contracts and 3,500 project-based staff.

The organization has not provided a response on the matter.
