Over a fortnight after the tragic deaths of esteemed filmmaker Rob Reiner and his partner, photographer Michele Reiner, the entertainment community persist in remembering the duo.

‘Life is Pain Without You’: Cary Elwes Pays Tribute to His Director

Posting on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who rose to fame in Reiner's beloved 1987 film *The Princess Bride*, stated he just recently felt ready to share openly about his deep grief.

"Adequate time has passed that I can finally express my sorrow into words," posted Elwes, noting that his initial encounter with Reiner left him smitten. "Once we started passing more hours together I knew this was someone I longed to have in my life."

The actor shared archival material from the production, remarking that he could not remember "a single day without joy".

"The movie is about devotion, fidelity and selflessness. Principles that Rob valued immensely. That is part of the many reasons he was the perfect person to guide it," Elwes continued.

He went on to praise Michele Reiner, noting: "Claiming that they were a formidable pair would be an oversimplification. My heart still pangs every time I think of you." He concluded with a phrase from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but life is pain without you."

Martin Scorsese Reflects on a Colleague and Comrade

In a separate tribute, acclaimed director Martin Scorsese paid homage to Reiner, whom he first met in the 1970s.

"From the start, I loved being with Rob. We had a innate rapport for each other. He was hilarious and sometimes sharply witty, but he was never the kind of guy who would take over the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese pointed out Reiner's acting part in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, portraying the father of the lead role.

"His improvisation skills with the best. He was a expert at comedy, he worked wonderfully with everyone, and he understood the personal struggle of his character," Scorsese noted.

Judicial Actions: Autopsy Reports Sealed

Recently, a Los Angeles superior court judge decided to prevent the publication of the Reiners' medical examiner's reports, following a petition from the local authorities.

A legal directive issued a security hold on the cases to prohibit the public release of "all case details, evidence and photographs" associated with the ongoing investigation.

The coroner's office had already determined their deaths were the result of foul play, with a record listing the cause as "injuries from a sharp object".

Following the killings, public figures shared varying responses.

Former President Donald Trump posted on the matter, providing divisive statements that were widely condemned by several commentators.

Podcaster Joe Rogan added his voice to the critics recently. Conversing on his show, Rogan characterized the comments as "shocking" and implied they showed a concerning deficiency of sympathy.
