Two men have been charged related to a suitcase robbery where a believed to be capsaicin spray resulted in harm at the major London air hub.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, are accused of two robbery charges and two counts of administering a noxious substance, according to official statements.

This legal action stems from an probe of an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal Three on the weekend. Before the assault occurred, two women were robbed of their suitcases taken after getting out of a car park lift, police said.

A toddler was one of the people hurt during the incident. Five people required hospital care and were later discharged.

The incident – described by police as was a standalone event and deemed non-terroristic – caused disruptions to rail services and the temporary blocking of the main airport road tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a limited duration.
