US Department of the Treasury Mulls Special $1 Trump Coin Featuring ‘Fight, Fight, Fight’ Inscription

To mark the 250th anniversary of the United States' independence, the Treasury is contemplating the issuance of a $1 coin depicting President Trump with a clenched fist under an American flag and the phrase “fight, fight, fight”.

Symbolic Reference

These words directly references what Trump declared following escaping an assassination attempt several months before he gained a return to the Oval Office.

Official Announcement

US Treasurer Beach publicly revealed a draft design of the coin on recently via X, saying: “Absolutely real. These drafts celebrating America’s 250th birthday and [Trump] are real.”

The online announcement – which highlighted another account commenting on the proposed design – indicated that Beach looked “excited to reveal additional details” after the resolution of the government funding lapse that commenced after Wednesday night when Senate Democrats insisting on changes on medical care and other budgetary issues refused to provide the support necessary to pass a Republican-backed budget proposal.

Legal History

As highlighted, in 2020, at the end of his first presidency, Trump signed jointly supported bill permitting the treasury secretary to mint $1 coins during the year 2026 that are “emblematic of the United States 250th anniversary”.

Appearance Elements

One side of the coin on whose concept Beach remarked Friday displayed Trump’s likeness alongside “Liberty”, “In God we Trust”, and “from 1776 to 2026”.

The other side alluded to the attempt on Trump’s life at a campaign event in PA last year, when law enforcement said a shooter wounded Trump’s hearing and hurt two others before being killed by the Secret Service.

Trump raised his fist after the incident – one of two assassination attempts for him as he won election for a second Oval Office term in 2024 – and shouted, “Fight, Fight, Fight!” with an US flag looming nearby.

Department Comment

A comment from a department official clarified that the proposal which Beach’s social media post discussed was not the “official minted version”. But the response asserted that “this draft effectively captures the persistent ethos of our nation and republic, even in the midst of immense obstacles”.

Administrative Environment

Trump’s public support on generally has dropped to negative figures, as his new presidency has cut healthcare protections and food aid that assists the low-income, while also imposing import taxes that led to a documented surge in everyday expenses.

Furthermore, the administration has also deployed US military troops into the urban centers of multiple cities, axed roughly significant funding in funding for immunizations such as the ones that played a role in stopping the coronavirus crisis, and had difficulty to address a scandal over his former association with notorious offender Jeffrey Epstein.
